Valentine’s Day Escape

Valentine's Day Romantic Escape | Big BearBig Bear Real Estate might not be at the top of your list for unique Valentine’s Day presents but a romantic escape to the area is a good way to investigate the local real estate market.

Keep in mind that any home buying efforts during a day dedicated to romance would probably put you in the dog house but we do have some ideas for that special day in the Big Bear Valley.

In addition to being able to take some time to enjoy each other in seclusion, you’ll be able to explore the area and all the amenities it has to offer. We believe that your trip just might convince you that Big Bear would be the perfect place to live.

A Valentine’s Day interlude in the Big Bear Valley is showcased by snow capped mountain peaks and views of the pristine lake. You’ll enjoy the fresh smell of pines and the crisp, clean air while taking a stroll or enjoying some of the popular outdoor winter sports. After activities might include massage, a relaxing Jacuzzi or hot beverages next to a crackling fire.

Planning your romantic escape doesn’t have to be a chore and can be accomplished by visiting the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce or the Big Bear Visitor’s Center  online. If you prefer, you can call either agency to find out about any seasonal specials or packages.

The Big Bear Valley offers a wide selection of hotels, cabins and cottages, or lakefront estates and the local merchants are happy to help you find just the right activities to keep you occupied. Even so, we have a few suggestions to help you plan that romantic escape.

The number one choice of visitors is the Mallard Bay Resort. If you are seeking a more quaint, quiet visit this is the perfect choice since it is on Big Bear Lake and close to the village. You can enjoy your own cabin with a kitchen but still get the perks of hospitality.

On the North Shore, Windy Point Inn is the place to be. Your stay is adjacent to the San Bernardino Forest and this establishment has the most stunning views since it is situated right on the lake. Other bed & breakfast favorites include the Inn at Fawnskin and Gold Mountain Manor  but you can find a listing of Big Bear B&Bs here.

If you prefer a hotel establishment, North Woods Resort is one of the valley’s popular hotels due to its close proximity to fine dining, movies, massage and other merchant services. However, you can dine in at Stillwell’s Restaurant and never leave the premises!

For those wanting a hotel closer to the ski slopes, the Big Bear Chateau is rated among the top ten hotels in the area. You’ll enjoy the Tiffany Lounge & Le Bistro Restaurant but the new Black Diamond Tavern is just a short amble away.

Also, close to the Big Bear Village is the Knickerbocker Mansion a historic establishment that  is also home to the acclaimed Bistro at the Mansion which just might be the perfect place for your romantic dinner.

Of course, Big Bear has a lot more to offer and this is just a short list to help you get started on planning your romantic escape. We wish you the best Valentine’s Day and invite you to search Big Bear Real Estate now since no log-in is required.

Rahill Realty can assist you in finding the perfect lakefront cabin or sale so please call us to schedule a tour of Big Bear houses or properties at (909) 547-4402.
