Ironwood Estates is one of the more established, desirable neighborhoods in Big Bear Real Estate. If you really want to get above it all, this area sits hundreds of feet above the lake and is filled with an amazing assortment of mountain lake properties–but it is the views that will take your breath away.

Ironwood is a nicely treed mountain neighborhood with features such as underground utilities and CC&Rs (Covenant Condition Restrictions) that protect and preserve both the view and ambiance.

Pines, cedars, oaks and ironwoods frame many of the homes of this enchanting community. Known for both the majestic homes and spectacular vistas, these estates include panoramic observation points that tower over the valley and lake.

The mountain top views are also unsurpassed but what attracts many to the amazing houses of Ironwood Estates is that they are not only adjacent to the forest, but they are also in close proximity to the Village of Big Bear Lake–the premiere area for entertainment, shopping and dining.

This means that it is only a short drive to the local ski resorts in the winter, or to the golf course and marinas in the summer. For those who crave a selection of upscale teas and crepes, or coffee beverages and pastries, two of the valley’s best locations are just a short stroll away.

But another nice quality about this neighborhood is that although it is close to just about everything you might need, it is secluded enough to avoid the hustle and bustle found in other communities.

Being in the tree tops means that the birds and morning sun will be your alarm clock. At night, it is a stargazers dream. However, estate owners can also gaze over the twinkling lights of the valley to enjoy a quiet serenity not found in too many other places.
