The Big Bear Real Estate market has houses for sale for just about every type of home buyer. Since personal buying habits tend to be fairly predictable, we thought a short quiz might be useful and fun. So, grab a piece of paper and mark down your answers, then take a look at those letters that dominate your answers.
Before making any purchase:
(a) I research and analyze any trends and compare prices;
(b) I take time to identify what it is that I really want to buy;
(c) I do so after an income bonus or pay increase.
Saving money means that:
(a) I tuck funds away regularly or on scheduled dates;
(b) I save if there are any funds left over;
(c) I seldom am able to do so.
When it comes to a vehicle, I:
(a) own my own car or several;
(b) make regular payments;
(c) lease or do not currently own one.
My shopping habits involve:
(a) using a list and sticking to it;
(b) being able to remember the items needed;
(c) buying what I want or what appeals to me.
Returning my purchases happens:
(a) seldom, if at all;
(b) once in a while;
(c) all the time.
For those who answered (a), you are a conservative researcher and seldom make impulsive buys. This often indicates that you are likely to shop around a while before narrowing down your choices and are likely to do so when making a final decision on buying a home. It might be that you are fairly conscious of your finances and have saved up for this type of purchase which makes finding a house for sale easier than (b) or (c).
If you answered the quiz and discovered that (b) dominates your answers, you have financial habits that can serve you well but you might not yet have the savings that helps with those unexpected costs of home ownership. If you fall into this category, consider working towards establishing a special account for that down payment, home repairs, or unexpected home maintenance and insurance as part of your home buying plan.
Those buyers who find (c) as the most dominate letter might have a tendency for more impulsive buying. If appearances are important, you prefer to lease other major purchases (such as a vehicle) or regularly return smaller purchases, it might be beneficial to crunch some numbers and develop a solid buying plan so that you don’t over extend yourself when it comes to purchasing a home.
We hope you enjoyed this fun exercise and that it helped you identify what types of actions you might take to help you in the search to find the perfect house for sale.
